Carlyle Gardens Retirement Village at Bargara is extending a warm welcome to the public to its Community Garden Open Day on Friday 6th July.
Guests are invited to enjoy a range of stalls and activities and watch residents go head-to-head in a cook-off using produce from the village’s community garden with the winner to be chosen by guest judge, Councillor Greg Barnes.
The village’s community garden was established in March last year and has been producing a wide range of produce since.
All proceeds from the day will go to Angels Community Group – a local charity helping people who have suffered personal loss.
Carlyle Gardens offers relaxed and secure retirement living in peaceful surroundings.
The event will be hosted at the village’s community centre and gardens at 3 Carlyle Court, Bargara from 10am to 2pm.
