Kogarah now has a new retirement village community, as the St. Patrick’s Green by Greengate village has been announced as complete after just over a year of construction efforts. The $120 million vertical village at 40 Chapel Street, Kogarah, was developed by leading global construction contractor Multiplex.
The village comprises of 104 independent living units in a variety of configurations spread over three apartment buildings within the 21,000 square metre precinct.
As a state-of-the-art seniors’ community, the village also boasts modern communal facilities including a landscaped courtyard and colonnade, commercial kitchen and laundry, and other resident leisure areas including a café and terrace, lounge, theatrette, dining room, hair salon and gym, as well as rehabilitation and training facilities.
“We are delighted to have partnered with Greengate on this project to provide the local ageing population with an impressive blend of essential care and quality lifestyle facilities,” said Mr David Ghannoum, Regional Managing Director NSW at Multiplex.
St Patrick’s Green is Greengate’s third integrated community, following its award-winning St
Brigid’s Green community in Maroubra and continuing its strong relationship with the
Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney and ANZ Bank.
Multiplex has extensive experience constructing aged care facilities, recently completing a
Mark Moran seniors living project in Vaucluse and currently constructing an over 55’s development in Paddington known as The Terraces.
With such a project coming to fruition due to the alliance of both village providers, future residents can look forward to a cosmopolitan yet relaxed way of retirement living in Sydney’s prized Eastern Suburbs area.
