Retirement village operator RetireAustralia has made a valuable investment in its care services in their South Australian village network, appointing a new clinical advisor to further enhance the quality of resident services.
Lisa Wood has joined the RetireAustralia personnel as Clinical Advisor, a position established in addition to appointments to the newly created positions of National Services Manager and Care Coordinator (South Australia), last year.
Her role is an integral part of an expanding South Australian team that contributes to the progressive rollout of care and support services across RetireAustralia’s 27 communities nationally.
A former registered nurse, she has extensive experience administering home care packages, providing clinical advice and support, auditing care processes, and forming and directing policies and procedures.
In her first two weeks with the company, Lisa has enjoyed meeting residents and colleagues and visiting a number of villages.
“Everyone has been most welcoming, and I’m really enjoying my new position,” she said.
“The staff are really passionate about what they do and genuinely care about the residents and each other.”
Lisa, who lives in the Adelaide Hills with her husband and two cats, said she is looking forward to getting to know the village teams better and offering assistance across all RetireAustralia’s South Australian villages.
General Manager of Care and Operations, Brigid London, said the appointment is indicative of RetireAustralia’s continuing dedication to care services.
“Our range of home care services continues to expand following a successful trial,” she said.
“We are excited to have Lisa on board to assist this process.”
