Significant retirement village provider Stockland Group has initiated the $11 million expansion of its South Australian Somerton Park Retirement Community with the release of villas in a sales launch during the end of November.
Nineteen of the thirty-five new homes in the extension have been offered in the first release, all comprising of two and three bedroom homes featuring the very latest lifestyle features for residents.
The new collection of contemporary villas boast a private courtyard, spacious kitchen and living areas, ducted air conditioning and lock up garages - all with the intention for residents to enjoy ageing in place.
“The $11 million expansion of Somerton Park Seniors Living Community is about meeting the increasing demand for quality retirement living in South Australia, allowing people to downsize but stay in their local area,” General Manager of Sales at Stockland Retirement Living, Michael Wappett said of the development.
Somerton Park Retirement Community is currently home to over 210 residents, each enjoying the village’s wide range of accommodation options of serviced apartments, independent living apartments and villas. Complementing the living options, are the village’s onsite restaurant, range of village activities and village bus service.
Being conveniently located 12km south-west of the Adelaide CBD means Somerton Park is only 3km from Glenelg, one of Adelaide’s most popular tourist destinations, and is also close to retail shops, transport and medical facilities.
“As one of Australia’s top operators in Retirement Living, with over 12,000 residents living in 65 Stockland villages across Australia, we’re consistently striving to offer our residents the highest possible standard in retirement living and look forward to improving and growing our South Australian villages to offer our residents a better way to live,” concluded Mr Wappett.
