Stockland’s Aspire Calleya community in Treeby, 23km south of Perth has commenced construction. Located at the heart of the 145-hectare Calleya community and directly opposite the future Calleya town centre the development is located close to transport, parks and proposed retail.
Aspire is Stockland’s new purpose-built neighbourhood catering to the changing needs of Australians looking to downsize with Calleya being the second Aspire development underway in Australia, the first being located within Stockland’s Elara community in north-west Sydney.
Designed for people over 55 and featuring modern, low-maintenance homes surrounded by high-quality community facilities, the community is structured under strata title, with most costs paid up front, meaning residents retain all capital gains and complete ownership of their home and land.
Stockland Group Executive and CEO of Retirement Living Stephen Bull says that Stockland was inspired to create a new product to broaden their customer reach and meet the needs of the modern day retiree. Aspire is for customers who want to downsize from the big family home but are seeking an alternative to moving into an apartment or a traditional retirement living village.
According to Stockland WA General Manager Residential Col Dutton, Aspire at Calleya reflects the company’s commitment to innovation and developing quality communities to reflect the changing needs of all Australians by creating a diverse range of liveable and affordable housing options for all stages of life.
Calleya will include 144 single-storey homes specially designed to support ageing in place and will feature a luxurious clubhouse for the exclusive use of its residents and their friends, including a pool, bar, lounge, gym and billiard room.
The first residents are expected to move in this November and the development is planned for completion in 2021.
Stage one is now for sale.
