Leading QLD Not For Profit BlueCare has secured Argyle Gardens in Bundaberg which has been in receivership since 2010 following the collapse of Prime Trust.
The Catholic provider has made a major deal, purchasing Belrose’s four aged care homes at Joondalup, Kelmscott, Maddington and Rockingham to add to its existing home in Wembley.
The Catholic not-for-profit provider has lodged a planning application to build up to 176 retirement living units on vacant land at its re-developed Bethlehem Home for the Aged in Bendigo.
The independent senator told the ABC: “There must be an urgent Senate inquiry into the whole issue of aged care funding instruments and also the whole issue of elder abuse because it seems that there aren’t adequate legal protections in place.”
The seniors housing development in Newcastle West will be owned and operated by RSL Lifecare and include a 60-bed aged care home, 74 retirement living units, 94 parking spaces and a café.
