Murray Gardens Retirement Village is recognised as one of Albury’s “favourite social venues” for active, happy and healthy retirees. The village is set amongst expansive gardens and boasts a fresh and contemporary look with a beautifully refurbished community centre.
The residents at Murray Gardens genuinely love where they live and make the most of opportunities to mingle and have fun. They value the village’s secure and friendly environment and enjoy relaxing with family and friends, travelling, taking part in social events and pursuing their chosen hobbies and interests.
The community centre at Murray Gardens Retirement Village received a $300,000 upgrade in 2014 and is a stylish and elegant social hub. Inside, the restaurant serves delicious meals for serviced apartment residents, and others who pre-book, and the bar provides a delightful space for evening drinks. Many residents also meet in the community centre to take part in bingo, tai chi, card games, line dancing, mah jong and canasta and enjoy using the billiards room, library, hairdresser and auditorium. Murray Gardens also has award winning gardens, perfect for walking the dog, and secure storage for caravans and boats.
All home and garden maintenance is taken care of by professional village staff so that Murray Gardens residents have more time to relax and socialise. Each apartment and unit is also supplied with a 24 hour emergency call button for added peace of mind.
Murray Gardens Retirement Village is located in the thriving city of Albury on the border of New South Wales and Victoria. The region is famous for its stunning natural environment and thriving city with a wide range of gourmet eateries, shops, clubs and amenities close at hand. The village itself is nested in East Albury’s sought after and quiet streets and is conveniently close to a range of amenities; the major Albury Base Hospital is around the corner and the vibrant Newmarket Hotel and shopping strip are just a stone’s throw away.
Murray Gardens Retirement Village offers two distinct living options: independent living units and care apartments.
Independent living units cater to independent retirees who are looking for a maintenance free lifestyle with added security and community. Each unit has one, two or three bedrooms with an open plan living area, modern kitchen, generously sized bathroom, private courtyard and secure garaging.
Care apartments cater to independent retirees who require help with daily chores such as cooking, cleaning and linen laundry. They are securely housed within the community centre and offer either one or two bedrooms, a kitchenette and a lovely garden outlook.
The Albury region is serviced by both a public bus and public train service. The bus is ideal for travelling from the village into the city centre and conveniently stops outside the Murray Gardens entrance. The train station is located in Albury and connects to neighbouring towns and as far away as Melbourne and Sydney.
