Last week we stated that Roger Kwok’s Hidden Valley is the largest retirement village currently in development in Australia (50km north of Melbourne), with a planned 537 units and 128 in stage one just commenced.
Prices for the 108 apartments at the AU$184M Battersea Place range from £535,000 to £3M ($912,000 to $5.1m). They haven’t turned off buyers though, with 74 already occupied and another 20 sold.
The not-for-profit Lakelands Country Club has received approval to build the village on 10 hectares in Gnangara, 30km north of Perth, after an eight-month fight over the development application.
QLD-based land lease operator Halcyon will build Australia’s first over-50 golf and country club after buying 46 hectares (114 acres) of land at Mirvac’s Gainsborough Greens community at Pimpama, 50km south of Brisbane and 30km north of Surfers Paradise.
The 10-storey $65 million tower is part of a luxury retirement village being built by Aveo at Sydney’s Norwest Business Park ‘Circa’ precinct.
