Private development company Traders in Purple has lodged an application for a 100-unit retirement village plus 103 apartments, a community disability support centre and childcare centre over two buildings at Northmore Street Mitchelton, 8km from the CBD.
Designed by Marchese Architects, the 40-acre low density Waterbrook Bowral will be home to 135 villas as well as a range of five-star features including a 24/7 concierge, wellness centre and spa, à la carte restaurant and bar, ballroom/play theatre and library.
Jeff McCloy’s property development company McCloy Group and Barr Property and Planning filed the application for the retirement village at the 450-home Heritage Park residential estate in Rutherford with Maitland Council in November.
The Dutch Club Abel Tasman in Carnegie, 12km southeast of the CBD, will make way for 40 retirement apartments over eight storeys run by Victorian-based village and aged care operator DutchCare, now known as MiCare.
